This months Sunday school is moving to the 2nd Sunday of the month as I am away training on 1 July. My intention is to do some work on upper body strength and some arm/hand balances. Lots of the arm balance work also works into the core so you may want to start getting those core muscles working over the next few weeks!!
The BWY annual East Midlands yoga fest is a chance to spend the day with other yogis in the area and sample some of the fab teachers we have in the East Midlands. You will find a wide range of classes on offer from traditional style yoga, tai chi, meditation, didgeridoo sessions and bollywood dance! Why not come along and try something new! 21 June marks International World Yoga day and Summer solstice. 2018 marks the 4th international world yoga day and is a very special occasion for me personally as we join with millions of people to celebrate Yoga across the world.
I am really excited to announce I will be running 2 classes on this day
- 12.30pm I will be running an outdoor class at the University of Nottingham in a lovely covered space outside the Portland Building - get in touch with me for more information
- regular class at Nottingham Yacht Club will also be a celebration so please do come and join us.
If you can't get to class then keep an eye out on the website as I will be posting an idea of a practice you can do at home.
The next yoga Sunday School Workshop will be on 6th May 2018 10am-12pm. Come and join me for 2 hours of yoga exploring some of the classical poses in new and interesting ways. Be prepared to use various props in order to become aware of how your body moves.

This weeks one-off Wednesday we will be looking at Vrkasana and Virabhadrasana II.
